Bobby Blair

A native of Indiana, Chief Warrant Officer 2 (Retired) Bobby J. Blair served in the U.S. Army for a total of 24 years with over half of his career spent in the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Ft. Carson, Colorado.


Upon the completion of his Special Forces training, Mr. Blair earned his Special Forces qualification “Tab” as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant and his Green Beret. Mr. Blair served from 2005 – 2017 with the 10 th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Ft. Carson, CO serving on Special Forces Operational Detachment – Alpha 096 (later renamed 0336), 0333, 0412, 0336 (again but as second in command), and 0312. He also served in the company capacity on Special Forces Operational Detachment – Bravo, 0330 and 0430 as the Unit Armorer and Operations Sergeant/Warrant Officer, and retired from the 3 rd Battalion S3 shop as the Operations Warrant Officer. Mr. Blair spent his first 18 years as an Enlisted Soldier making the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7) and then went to the Special Forces Warrant Officer Technical and Tactical Certification Course and retired at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2. During his career, Mr. Blair served in peace and wartime environments from the jungles and U.S. Embassies of Africa (5 deployments totaling over 13 months), the deserts of Iraq (totaling over 27 months), and multiple rural/urban countries within Europe (totaling over 6 years).

Mr. Blair also earned his Associates of Science (2009) and Bachelors of Science (2017) degree from Management Studies from University Maryland University College (UMUC). Upon retirement in 2017, Mr. Blair returned to Indiana in hopes of planting his feet and settling down with his family. Use to working with some of the nation’s best, Mr. Blair instantly was impressed with Michael Vanover and team at the Lockout training facility. Mr. Blair instantly felt a sense of camaraderie and professionalism within the establishment and felt that his skills and training would not be overlooked, as they have been since his retirement.

 

Looking forward to sharing his training with individuals who are of the same caliber, Mr. Blair has found a new “Team Room” within Lockout.
 

Lastly, Mr. Blair is pursuing to start a Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (JROTC) for Huntington North High School in which he has been qualified by the JROTC Cadet Command to serve as a Senior Army Instructor and trying to give back to those in his community and surrounding areas.
